SOS - Oct. Test Day
So I'm planning to sit on October 3rd but I'm still stuck at sub-par test scores.
Let's just say for sake of argument I cannot take it in December and October is the only option for me.
Also, let's say I have no life and can dedicated 80% of my time to studying until test day.
I've taken 4 tests so far and I've made slight improvements:
PT66 - 144 (Cold diagnostic, yikes!)
PT68 - 147
PT69 - 148
PT56 - 153
but then back down to
PT47 - 148
I'm in a bad place obviously but when I go and grade my tests I notice I miss stupid thing that I can always figure out without the time constraints.
I know that improving LG is the best way to heighten your score, but so far I can't really wrap my head around them and end up only getting the first acceptability question correct.
MY strategy is to take a test every day and score it, revise my thinking, and apply that towards the tests the next day but I'm too afraid I might be devoting all the energy in the wrong way. Then again I've only taken two in a row as a part of this "boot-camp" so maybe I'm being a bit annoyed at not seeing instant results?
that failing, what would you recommend I do in my situation? I'm looking for mid-high 160's (is that stretching it?)

Re: SOS - Oct. Test Day
While your preparedness is something only you can determine, based off your goals and how you are doing you I would recommend canceling this test at least a day before test day unless you are consistently at the 160s score you want. There is no point wasting a take if your that far off from your goals. I would read some of the LSAT guides on this site for study ideas

I think simply drilling though PTs isn't going to help if you don't have the basic skills. Get some LSAT books like Power score Bibles, Manhattan Prep, and LSAT trainer so you can learn the intricacies of the test before wasting PTs.

Re: SOS - Oct. Test Day
I actually do well in LR and RC. My last score something went wrong with RC but I just need to slow down and focus (like always).basedvulpes wrote: Also just want to say that this isn't really true. LR is worth twice as much as LG. Yes, it seems like you have a lot of points to gain by focusing on LG, but make sure you're not neglecting the other sections of the test. LG is probably the easiest section to learn after you've spent some time with it, while the others can be a lot harder. If you want to be a high scorer then you need to improve in every section.
With my LR and RC scores if I get -0/-1 in LG I would be within my preferred score range.
So is the LG Bible really that great? Does it have drills or is it just strategies?

The Bible has drills to practice the strategies.

I'm new to this forum, are there any study guides?
