RC Conducive to Drilling or not?

Post by Broncos15 » Fri Aug 14, 2015 2:04 pm

Is Reading Comp as conducive to category types as LG or LR?

I am thinking of spending about ~$100 on LSAT Prep on Cambridge and was thinking of A. Getting all LG and RC from Cambridge from PT1-38 and use the other PT's that I already have as full length or B. Only Buying LG PT 1-38 and and using the money on RC instead of some more LG or LR packets

I already have LR packets PT 1-38

I have the vast majority if not all PT's 1-74 in PDF format so I can reprint if necessary

Practice makes permanent. I would argue that RC is just as conducive to drilling as any other section, but the catch is that you are only going to gain improvement by mastery, not simple repetition.

The problem with RC is that most people don't try to master it, they just try to do a lot of it as fast as they can and somehow hope that they make a significant improvement.

With RC, the most effective method IMO is always a little zen. Watch your focus, notice what you are actually reading, and kinda just be aware of what's going on. Don't rush it, and take the time to really understand the passage one sentence at a time. And after that, one paragraph at a time.

I wrote a book about it, with an entire chapter on focus. It's only $3, so you can think of that as buying me a beer and telling you 10,000 words of my advice. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013KNZ6FM
