Hello,
I am currently a rising senior in UG and have been prepping for the LSAT since June. I am planning on taking the October test, and hope to get a 170+. Currently, I am getting around high 160s to low 170s on my PTs, and I need to some advice on RC, especially on detail-oriented questions. I have been very consistently getting -4 on RC on my PTs so far, and almost all of my mistakes are either from questions such as "which of the following are affirmed by the passage" (asking for what was mentioned) or application questions where you choose the hypothetical case that best fits the author's argument (ex. which of the following would the author approve/support etc). Any advice on how I could really nail these type of questions? I am usually great at getting the big picture of the passage, but given the time limit and pressure of the test, it is hard for me to catch all the details. It takes a very long time to go back and actually find all the details to answer these questions, so I usually end up going with my gut feeling and get them wrong. So far my method for RC is to jot down notes summarizing each paragraph, and while this is helpful in seeing the main idea and the flow of the passage, it does not seem to help me as much with details. Any help would be much appreciated!

I don't know how your notes look like, but I would not recommend jotting down notes.
Take the time to make sure you are focused on what the passage is actually saying, and don't let the time pressure get to you.
