For my third and final try on the LSAT, my average score for the 2 weeks leading up to the exam was a 175. The last two practice tests I took before the LSAT was a 169 and a 168. It was drastically below my average. Just relax, focus on what you did wrong and take a deep breath. I didn't let it bother me and I got a mid 170s on the june LSAT. Just take it as a learning experience.

PT avg: 168 (range from 164-170)
2 PTs before real test: 163
Test Day: 169

Don't worry about your score as much (if it is within reason). Focus on your strengths and weaknesses and keep studying. Some tests and questions are just dumb and will help prepare you for the real thing (which is often less dumb) to be ready for anything.

Is it a particular section or the overall test that is causing the inconsistency? If it's just a tough game or passage, then it's not a huge deal.

I remember a few weeks before I took my LSAT I totally shit the bed on the logic games section and scored like ten points below my average. But it ended up helping me by showing me how I'd gotten lazy on my process.

Similar to the above posters, I'd say the nature of the slip up is important.

Last week I got a 166, but actually felt okay about it because it was the Mauve Dinos game and I straight up dropped 6 points on it. That kind of game is my weakness. I'm aware of it and I'm working on it. If a more "standard hard game" had been on there, I likely would've missed at least 4 less and probably scored something like 4 points higher.

If there had been no justifiable reason for my 166, I'd have been a lot more disappointed.
