Whoa there, slugger. While melatonin does seem to be safe, it is a hormone and introducing something like that should be done only after other fixes have been ruled out.Sean_33 wrote:Try taking melatonin.

OP, address these things before trying melatonin (in no particular order):
Diet
Exercise
Hydration
Try meditation or mindfulness exercises
No caffeine after noon
No devices with backlit screens within an hour or two of bedtime
Use your bed for sleep and sex only
Have a cool, quiet, and dark bedroom with clean sheets
Set regular times for waking up and getting into bed and follow that schedule even if you are exhausted
Limit naps (or try to get rid of them)
If you still have an issue after fixing everything above, then consider trying melatonin.
+1 that was impressive (the graphics or whatever you did there)
Ahh...I usually have time at nightfisheatbananas wrote:be careful about exercising too late at night though. ive heard it makes it harder to sleep if you finish exercising less than 3 hours before bedtime. although of course it depends on the person. i personally love running at night and then sleeping.

just walking places that are close enough, instead of taking your car or bike helps too.stcait wrote:I see. I'm not sure I can take a lot of time for exercise, but maybe I wanna talk sometime to walk on weekends too

Yeah, for sure, but I've been trying very hard to get out of the habit of napping. I used to nap two to three times a day and it made me feel quite unproductive.Monkey D Luffy wrote:does anyone take naps during the day? around 5-6pm, i definitely need a power nap right before i study.....
all the time. and its not a 10-20 minute power nap (i dont understand how people can do that) when i nap im asleep for about 2 hours. but i also dont sleep for long at night. not sure how unhealthy my schedule is so i definitely dont recommend it but at the same time im not planning to change myself either :pMonkey D Luffy wrote:does anyone take naps during the day? around 5-6pm, i definitely need a power nap right before i study.....
