HELP!
I just got my score (like everyone else) and am considering a retake. My GPA is 3.95 and I am shooting for H, S or Berkeley with $$$ (which means getting $$$ somewhere else and using their matching program). I know that I did not max out my studying since I didn't study for as long as I should have, but I also don't really know that one additional point or whatever will help me so much with the above goals.
I'm worried that I will get a much harder LG or RC in October and be screwed over, negating all of my efforts!
Any thoughts or advice would be welcome! Is this even something that I could hire someone like Spivey to talk through with me? I am not applying for a few years.

Re: Retake a 171?
I think it makes sense to retake. You are a reverse splitter at H and could be an auto-admit with like 4 more questions right. I think more LSAT juice would also help you stand out from the pack at Stanford. Were in I your position, I would take a little time off and do hardcore studying during august and september then do an October retake. But, the thing is, if you don't study harder this time, you probably won't get a better result.

Why aren't you applying for a few years? If you are still in UG talk to your adviser, just got an email from mine and am feeling a lot better about my 170.beaglelegal wrote:HELP!

Re: Retake a 171?
I just graduated from UG, but I got a job that I really like and that I think will give me really valuable work experience so I'm sticking with this for a few years before applying. My adviser really seems more focused on people who are aiming for lower T14 and that kind of thing - she is just like "yep sounds good!" whenever I talk to her or ask fir clarification on anything. Basically I feel like TLS knows more about people aiming for HYS than she does.cdotson2 wrote:Why aren't you applying for a few years?
