I score fairly well in both LR and RC on my practice tests. I started out getting about 88 percent of the questions in those sections right, and after a lot of work I'm up to about 94 percent. AR on the other hand is killing me. I got 64 percent of the AR questions right on my first practice run and after employing all sorts of strategies over the past couple of weeks I'm stuck at about 68 percent. This is really frustrating as I feel it's just an intellectual weakness that I might not be able to overcome. And if that's the case, the AR section alone could very well be the difference between (i) getting into an outstanding school with a substantial scholarship and (ii) ending up at a last-choice safety school.
Has anybody else been in a similar situation? I'd appreciate any advice on overcoming inherent AR weaknesses.
Thanks for the feedback.
