Learning something from RC passages?

Post by adil91 » Wed Mar 11, 2015 2:29 am

Did anybody else feel like they learned quite a bit after practicing many an RC section? I felt like I know a lot more about various subjects and a couple of passages actually piqued my curiosity about certain topics. Don't get me wrong, I hated the section but I did learn quite a bit.

Definitely. As much as I dislike the section, I've learned a fair bit. I find the learning component of RC somewhat distracting even.

I feel like this is the only aspect of RC that would make it somewhat enjoyable...

Learned a little about some obscure scholarly opinions. But usually when I remember stuff from a passage, it means I did something wrong LOL.. Like msp8 said, finding a passage interesting can be distracting. The passages that interested me the most were the ones that have screwed me the hardest.

You know there are these things called "books" that you can learn the same things from.

Interesting. So if I read these "books" I'll know absolutely everything that's in any RC passage? Good to know. Any recommendation on such a book?

The LSAT teaches nothing. It only punishes and rewards.

Try reading a dictionary and learn about the difference between "singular" and "plural" nouns.

I agree I don't like diversity and art passages, but the fact that I learn from them makes them a bit more interesting and easier.
