I understand everyone approaches the test differently but in the end it's still the same test and we can all adopt different approaches. I want to PT close to perfect so I have a larger margin to fall.

Re: Closing the last 5 points
it just really depends on the person. that's why i don't think u'll get many helpful responses. presumably u'd know if u had some specific question type that hurt u, so perhaps the problem is test psychology? one thing i did differently my second round of studying was forced myself to never give myself any leeway in testing. so if i decided i was going to take a test on a certain day i wouldn't let myself quit if i didn't feel quite on that day. over time that helped me feel a lot more confident as i knew that i could get through a test even when feeling off.
i don't know if there is some problem that specifically plagues people at the 175 point, but i would guess that in any case treating each PT like an actual test would help.

Re: Closing the last 5 points
A better question is how much those last 5 points actually matter. To adcoms, the difference between 179 and 175 is probably less than the difference between 170 and 172.
There's also a matter of luck to getting a 180. Look up Robin Singh's stats... even a professional LSAT tutor only gets 180s about half the time.
