PT 6 (Oct 1992) Section 2, Q7 - High-technology medicine
I'm really confused. I am using the Cambridge packets and this question is included in the Must Be True packet. The answer key indicates C but on the Manhattan forum of explanations, it's shown as a Causation question and indicates the answer is E. Can someone help me with this?

Hey Clee,
That is a Weaken-Except question in which the conclusion results from causal reasoning. The correct answer choice is E.
Hope that helps!

Well, someone needs to contact Manhattan and let them know that their Cambridge packets aren't 100% accurate then.Ron (PowerScore) wrote:Hey Clee,

Manhattan does not own the Cambridge packets.clee920 wrote:Well, someone needs to contact Manhattan and let them know that their Cambridge packets aren't 100% accurate then.Ron (PowerScore) wrote:Hey Clee,

The question is number 7 in the Must Be True packet, but OP was actually referencing PT6-S2-Q6, not PT6-S2-Q7.

Exactly, it's Question #7 on the packet (and the footnote number says 7-PT6S2Q6) but does not correlate to the Question 6 in Section 2 of the PT6 exam. If you refer to this thread:Cambridge LSAT wrote:The question is number 7 in the Must Be True packet, but OP was actually referencing PT6-S2-Q6, not PT6-S2-Q7.

It shows Question 6 as being "For democracy to survive" and question 7 being "High Technology medicine".
Regardless, as I mentioned, this question was included in the MUST BE TRUE packet and the answer key references C when you stated that this is actually a Weaken/Except question and the answer is E. So the packet must be misprinted.

Actually, the original poster in that thread misstated the question number as 6. Scroll to the bottom of that thread and you'll see that another poster correctly referenced the "democracy to survive" as number 11 of that section.
