December 2014 Non-US LSAT Waiters Thread
It appears as though the tests administered in the US are different than the ones in the middle east, Europe, and Asia.
I wanted to make this thread to share any thoughts on the exams. (no discussion of particular questions)
I took mine in the middle east. Overall the exam was of average difficulty. I had 2 LG (one was a breeze the other challenging). 1st LR was tough, couldn't finish all the questions. RC average (last passage was toughest), 2nd LR average.
Any one took theirs in the middle east, would like to know which of the games section was experimental.

Took it in Paris
LR--easy
RC--thought it was tougher than usual, toughest of the exam
LG--easy
LR--a lot of tricky ones, tough
LG--tougher than the other. Maybe average?
Will probably retake and not stoked about the undisclosable nature of the test abroad..

Hey I also took the test outside the U.S. (in Europe) and had two LGs. I agree the first LG was piss easy - I finished with nearly 7 minutes left but the second LG was worrying. I had to guess on the last two questions. I hope that one was the experimental

Also took this outside the US and agree: one logic game was easy (23 questions I believe) and one was harder. Not impossible, but i missed a few questions. Oh well!
Spoke with three others in my test center. All had the same reaction.
By the way, a suggestion: check out the US thread. I don't have a great memory of the LG, but it appears that they may have been the same questions in the US as abroad. If that's the case, it may be that the easier one was the one that counted. All of that said, who knows... what's experimental in the US could be the real one abroad. Guess we'll (never) find out (since it's undisclosed).

Did you guys get "stealing thunder" in RC and "Photograph, Rugs, Musical Instrument" in LG?

ETA: had a linguistics passage in RC and too many beers to remember LG. One was about appointments in a corporation or something though.

I took it in London. Would appreciate any help in identifying what was the experimental section. I had two logic games sections, so anyone who only had one logic game section would be able to help. Anyone who took the test in Europe pm me if you can help.

Took it in China. The LG didn't have rug or musical instrument. But I heard some test takers complain it was hard too.

I took it in the Middle East.
RC seemed hard, seemed heavy on science topics. Two logic games--the first was easy and the second one was much harder. The first one had a game about 8 actors being paired into four different scenes. That one (the easy one) was the experimental.

I can't seem to remember that game, is it in the same section as the one with the stages?taketwo wrote:I took it in the Middle East.

Sorry, it seems I've blocked out everything about the test except this one game. :/ It had to do with eight actors doing improvisation scenes.. It was my first LG section out of 2 and in the first three sections which is why I'm almost positive it was experimental!romano wrote:I can't seem to remember that game, is it in the same section as the one with the stages?taketwo wrote:I took it in the Middle East.

I took the test in China. Had LR LG LR LR RC. Anyone else with the same order? If so any clue to which LR was the experimental? I felt the 3rd LR one was rather odd, lots of long, in-depth questions as well as being what i thought was significantly tougher. Thoughts?

took it in Hong Kong. Had RC-LR-LG-RC-LR. the first RC section has an article on law and economics movement, and the other section has an article on agriculture/genetics/varieties.

Yeah, I took the exam in mainland China as well. Also had LR LG LR LR RC. First two LR sections were predicable and fairly straightforward; however, I totally agree that the last one was ridiculous. Does anyone have an idea as to which one was the experimental?

I took it in Korea today and mine was also LR-LG-LR-LR-RC. I overheard two girls saying the second LR is the experimental, which is a bummer because I thought that section was the easiest. Gah, was the last LR difficult? By that time I was so delirious I didn't even really remember..

Yikes...The third LR section seemed strange to me from beginning to end, but I suspect it was the second LR section. It was also a bit strange -- just much more manageable than the third one...park1378 wrote:I took it in Korea today and mine was also LR-LG-LR-LR-RC. Tell us something about Logic reasonings
Did you have a question like elements called P32? P34? as one of the last couple questions?

Anyone who took the test in Europe/Middle East/Africa can you remember how many questions were in the logic games section (s)?

I'm pretty sure it was, but my memory is also a bit fuzzy. Any Asia test takers want to venture a guess as to the exam's curve?Fighttotheend wrote:XYL42 wrote:I do remember a question about Sulfur 32/34Fighttotheend wrote:Agriculture is the real one.XYL42 wrote:took it in Hong Kong. Re: December 2014 Non-US LSAT Waiters Thread
I wrote in Canada. I had LG, LR, LG, LR, RC. I seem to remember having the rug colours/photographers as my section 3, but I could be mistaken. I can't remember what I had for Section 1 at all, wish I could remember. All I know is that I did really well on Section 3 but found Section 1 really hard. Hoping I'm remembering correctly and did indeed have the rugs for Section 3, as that has been confirmed as the real section I believe.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
