PREP COURSE

Post by Ginger Nin » Fri Nov 07, 2014 5:19 pm

So, Ive been studying the LSAT for a loooong time. I plan to sit for the exam in Feburary of 2015. I recently decided to enroll in Manhattan on line prep course with the expectation that I will be able to get the help needed. I've read some pretty good posts regarding Manhattan and my hope is that the course along with my hard work will result in high test scores and getting into a law school. I recently took a practice test on my own. The scores were so bad that I felt as if I should give up or prephaps that I should not take the test for the second time. But I am going to give it another try. So starting Dec 1st Manhattan Prep will be my new bff. *fingerscrossed*
Good Luck everyone

don't give up on it if becoming a lawyer is your goal.

Many people on here often end up re taking the exam or sitting out a cycle..

You never know as well when you find that moment where you begin to understand the exam fully....I was strolling for three months in the 150's but In one month i made the jump from a 156 to a 168 and haven't looked back since

Also if i may ask , why Feb LSAT if you feel like you are a ways away from your goal score?

A Feb exam is too late for the upcoming cycle for many law schools in terms of both admissions and scholarships/ financial aid...the only way it would make sense is if your are using that score to apply for the Fall 2016 cycle.....but even then I would recommend at June/ October LSAT if you are a few points as you say

Don't worry too much about the actual score, but pay attention to what it means. I am not aware of your current study habits, but if you really have been studying for a long time and got a low score then maybe you need to evaluate your study habits and refine them so they work for you. I myself was very unhappily surprised when I took my second PT and my score did not improve after about 2 months of studying. I realized that I was doing way to much "studying" by just reading through prep books and not enough drilling, practicing, and understanding my mistakes. February is plenty of time to improve if you find a better method of studying that works for you.
