Dropped 10 points from PT Average on Sept. 2014
I surprisingly missed a significant number of questions on LR when it is one of my best sections. I was on 3 hrs of sleep and commuted 2 hrs to my test center. Was this the reason?

I feel like this is a 'find the flaw' LR question...

Pretty much. At least you have a second chance in December, like me.

Oh, I'm trying to figure out why my performance on test day was affected this badly. If it wasn't the sleep factor, then maybe I won't score higher even upon a retake.

This is almost certainly the reason. I would retake. If need be get a hotel close to your test center prior to your next test so you don't have to commute so far.

I never fell asleep the night before the September LSAT, and I think that fact definitely contributed to my missing 8 combined on the LR sections. I had never previously answered incorrectly more than 5 LR questions on a single test, and I usually only missed between 1 and 3. With that said, I looked over all the LR questions I missed on September exam, and I think the LR sections were a bit more difficult than average, which makes sense as the LG and RC sections were arguably easier than normal.
