Where in the passage does the author discuss how the author thinks the archivists' decisions on what to keep will affect future generations' views and understanding of the past?

Answer choice E seems to hinge critically on this crucial, missing information. All there is in the passage is that the author says archivists have to carefully pick what to keep and what not to keep, and since the volume is greater, that job has become harder. I don't see any reference to "future generations" or their "views/understanding" in the passage.
