Top Time Savers
I barely finished my last PT on time.
I'm in my target range but don't want to miss it.
Any tips on top time savers - things that can make a difference when you're in range before test day, but don't wanna mess it up? (ie staying strict about skipping)?

Best time savers for the average test taker:
LR: Skip parallel questions.
LG: Skip rule substitution/nullify questions (final question of the game where you have to completely redo your master game board)
RC: Don't hum and haw between two answer choices for a long time. Pick one and move on.

Don't use a sharp pencil. Dull pencils will fill-in the scantron faster. Also, don't bubble after every answer. Bubble all the answers for both pages in one go.

start reading from choice E up in LR.....especially near the end
I've noticed in LR sections on the final few problems the tentmakers will often put D or E as the right answer because they know people usually read top down

To me, a dull pencil writes more slowly and far less comfortably; the cons outweigh the pros. I would sooner cycle between 4 sharp pencils than use one dull one.Tyr wrote:Don't use a sharp pencil. I agree that a dull pencil is slower for writing, but when it comes to filling-in a Scantron, I just feel like a dull one goes faster. It could just be down to each individuals' unique motor function when using a dull vs sharp pencil. I dunno.gatesome wrote:To me, a dull pencil writes more slowly and far less comfortably; the cons outweigh the pros.
