Best ways to build endurance for exam?

Post by MattM » Sun Sep 14, 2014 10:08 pm

What is the best way to build endurance for the exam?.....I have noticed when i print off an individual section on a PT I can answer the question quickly and accurately without losing too much focus, but I have noticed in endurance/focus when taking a full length PT?

About how many full length PT's should I do the month before the exam to build my endurance?

i was wondering the same thing. I've read some threads where people talk about doing 6 section PTs, does anybody actually do this? Taking a 6 section PT is an absolutely savage move

2 PT's a day, 6 section PT's, coffee during your 15 minute break (after section 3). Tons of different things will help.

Taking 6 section PTs is great, but you have to build up to that amount or you are wasting your time, energy, and materials. Start with 4 and work your way up. Back to Back PTs is a good option too.

The last month of PTing should not be towards BUILDING endurance it should be spent fine-tuning skills.
I would aim for absolutely no more than 4x per week and even then 3 is preferable. You must allow time for good review.

I started with four sections, moved to five sections for a week or two, then have been PTing with six for about three weeks. It definitely makes a difference. The first six section PT I did I felt utterly comatose by S6. I feel like it has definitely developed my stamina. It also means you get another section to drill under time conditions, which is never a horrible thing. The part I struggle with is that it takes nearly four hours to just text and another one to two for review. It's a complete suck on your day.
