I'm overseas and can't reliably get my hands on paper prepbooks, so lately I've been purchasing and using the PDFs to do PTs. Is anybody else doing this?
The greatest distinction is that you can't mark on the test. You can't cross off answers, circle words, jot notes on the side, etc. I believe this makes taking electronics PTs much harder, and taxes your short term memory that much more on each section. Am I alone in thinking this way?
It would be encouraging if I can PT well on an electronic version, knowing that doing it on paper would be easier and less time consuming/easier on my short term memory.

Why can't you print the PDFs?
Being limited to the work area available is a significant obstacle for a lot of people, and reading for speed and comprehension on a computer screen is very different from reading on paper. You really need to get hard copies.

Don't do them on screen, it's very different. Print them. If you can't print them, order books.

100% this^.LSAT Hacks (Graeme) wrote:Don't do them on screen, it's very different. Print them. If you can't print them, order books.
It's really important to practice under actual test day conditions otherwise your score will be negatively affected on test day since you'll suddenly have to adapt to doing things differently on the day when it really matters. The habits you're forming while taking tests off a computer screen using scratch paper will not translate well on test day when you'll have to switch to a different manual system of working with printed test materials and no scratch paper that you haven't gotten used to.

I took tests off of the computer to study for the first time I took the LSAT in 2012. I'd highly recommend against doing it - besides a lack of work space, it also removes your ability to annotate which is crucial in RC for most people.
