Analog Clock Usage

Post by InPursuitOfaPassion » Thu Sep 04, 2014 3:32 pm

Im wondering how often everyone looks at their analog clock while testing? Reason being, I find that sometimes focusing on the clock causes me to panick and the panick causes my brain to temporarily shut down and I lose points in the process. Now, granted, the panick only happens when Im tired- seems I cant handle stress as well when Im tired. But im still curious. My goal is to only consult the clock when Im nearing the end of the section, but before the 5 minutes has been called and/or at any time when I suspect Im moving too slow to see whether or not I am in fact lagging.

I took a watch for the LSAT. I pretty much did not use it.

I extensively used my watch during PTs, I'd always be checking it. However on the actual test day I think I maybe looked at my watch 2-3 times for the entire test, including once during the part where you are just filling in your information. I think there is a "flow" you will just work into, or at least I did. If the watch is making you nervous, learn to work without consulting it.

I practice using it with RC and LG, since it lets me gauge whether I'm behind the 8 minute mark I set for myself to finish a section. Other than that it hasn't been too helpful, I don't really use it on LR at all.

All about checking the watch for RC, because it's so easy to get lost in a passage.
Barely use for LR
Trying to lessen use for LG. You know when a question is going well, or if you're taking too much time. Checking the watch just takes me out of my rhythm and wastes time in the end
