Keeping the Stress Levels Low

Post by InPursuitOfaPassion » Wed Sep 03, 2014 2:57 pm

What are some tricks that you do to keep the stress levels down?

I find when I become too wrapped up in the test my stress increases and my performance decreases so I usually take a day off and come back to it relaxed.

Find a hobby unrelated to what is stressing you out and do it. For example, I enjoy working out once a day. It helps to get away and blow off steam. This won't prevent stress altogether but it will help mitigate it.

YMMV, but I definitely keep stress off by keeping a pretty detailed schedule in the weeks coming up to the test. Study from X to X, work out from X - X, etc. Making my lunch the night before, keeping my place clean and organized, basically anything to keep me busy so that I'm not thinking about the test all the time. Morning workouts have done me a ton of favors.

Yoga. Deep breathing. Meditation. And, yes, definitely a very well organized schedule!
