Houston Area LSAT Testing Center Preferences
Hi all! I'm looking to for some advice on the best place to take the LSAT in the Houston area. Last time I took the LSAT (Dec. 2012), I took it at the University of Houston Law Center. They split the testers into two groups to take the test in two different locations so I am unaware of what the other groups conditions were like, but mine were not the best. My group was put in a large lecture hall where we had those small fold-out surfaces that only provide enough space for one page of the test booklet. Since I did most of my prepping at a desk, I found this rather frustrating.
If anyone has any knowledge of the testing conditions of any of the other testing centers or perhaps of the conditions of the other group at the UH Law Center, please provide your insight below and cast your vote in the poll.
Thanks for your help in advance!

As a native Clear Laker, I've always been impressed with what I've seen of UHCL. I think that would be a solid choice. It's clean and in a quiet and nice part of town. I never actually attended there as a student though so I can't speak about classroom layouts. UH-Downtown would definitely have a run-down commuter feel to it and you'd have to deal with some downtown traffic. Rule that one out unless you live particularly close.
I actually took my exam at UH - Main Campus and don't remember having any particular complaints. You seem sort of "meh" on your previous experience there though. Is there any way you could call these campuses and find out what room they expect to hold the test in?
My final thought is that you should choose South Texas over TSU if you want to try a non-UH location.

Update: I emailed the LSAC asking who to contact for the details on each testing center but they have not responded yet. Once I get the details, I will post them here for the benefit of others testing in the Houston area.

I realize I'm bumping this from the dead, but I took the LSAT this past Oct at UH-Main and we were in a lecture hall with the little fold out desk and it was frustrating. Houston has several venues to pick from and I'd like to go to the best one for my next take. Did your inquiry turn up anything? Or can any Houston area test takers shed some light on the other places?

I took the test for October 15 at STCL and it was a pretty good venue. We were split up into 3 or 4 classrooms which housed about 45 students. Each of the classrooms had long tables with attached chairs so that was not really an issue.

If you don't mind me asking, how/why did you take the test on the 15th as opposed to the 3rd?
