LSAT Prep Question

Post by ChrisW » Mon Jul 07, 2014 10:01 pm

For those of you who did well on the LSAT, how long did it take you to be able to finish sections accurately and on time?

"accurately and on time" suggests getting a 180 every time, a level people rarely get to. Maybe ask a more specific question?

I think its different for everyone. Today, I just finished an LR section in 31 minutes, but got 2 wrong. I tend to get close to 100% on the games, but I need all 35 minutes for those. RC is hit or miss with me depending on if I like the passages.

How about until you're confident that you'll get at least a 165. How much time and studying did it take before you reached this level?

That's going to be different for everyone. I had a pretty short timeframe, comparatively, before I hit my target score. If you're trying to figure out how much time you need, budget three months. If you're trying to figure out if you're where you should be in your prep, we'll need more information.

I'm trying to figure out where I am on my prep, and I'm taking in September. For LG I go -0 but it takes me 8-14 minutes a game. Half of this time is spent on rules and inferences, and when I do the game a second time, it takes me 5-8 minutes a game.
For LR I go -2/-3 per section, but each section takes 45-55 minutes.
For RC I go -2/-3 per section, and each passage takes me 10-12 minutes, depending on questions.
