I've already registered for this October's LSAT, but then I decided that it's best for me to apply for law schools after I get a job and save some money for a couple of years. I know it was a stupid idea, but it's already done.
Should I just get a refund then take the LSAT the year I actually apply? I figured I won't get much money back anyway, so I thought about taking the test as an experience and then cancelling it. Will this hurt me when I apply after two years? What if I take the test and don't cancel? Would a low score from two years ago hurt my application? I haven't prepared at all for the test yet, but I'm thinking of going through some prep tests before taking it. (I did the June 2007 as a diagnostic test and got 160.)
Take the LSAT to apply two years later or refund? Forum

Personally, I would just wait and take the test when you are prepared. Two years is a good chunk of time, so even if you were to prepare for the Oct. test now (you do have time), I'm not sure it would help you that much two years from now. There are proctored PTs and other ways to simulate the real test.
