Preptest 47 RC #5 (Downstate campaign)

Post by june2014 » Tue Jul 01, 2014 10:17 am

I'm so confused with this question. I eliminated (A) because the passage says that these ministers in question had been politically moderate until their involvement in the Downstate campaign, and I thought it could be inferred that their involvement in the Downstate campaign = signal of a change in their general political and social goals. At first I chose (E) but now I think I get why it's not the answer--the ministers may have all been directly involved in civil rights activities prior to the Downstate campaign - just not in an aggressive manner like the Downstate campaign. But I still don't get where in the passage we can find proof for (A). Any help would be much appreciated!
