Quantifying "intense" prep Forum

What does it mean to you when you do "intense" prep for 3 months/12 weeks/14 weeks/etc.? Say, how many hours per day do you devote solely to LSAT prep during this supposed "intense" prep?

Eight hours would be pretty intense.

But your question is kind of vague. What are you actually trying to figure out?

I would say intense preparation would be working through the LG and LR Bibles, taking every single PT that is available, and then reviewing all of your incorrect answers. So however many hours it takes to do that.

I took the LSAT 4 years ago, so things may have changed since then. When I took it, I found it a lot less helpful than the LG and LR Bibles. I think I improved my RC mainly just through taking RC sections when I was taking PTs.

This is also what I did. My RC was mostly fine to start with, though, so I think at least going through the RCB is not a waste of time.

What constitutes "intense LSAT studying" is going to vary from person to person, and I know that is your question, but I'd just like to say that I think 3-4 hours per day for twice as long is better than 8 hours per day for half as long.

The idea of 8 hours a day of LSAT blows my mind. I don't even think I've done that even one day, and I've been in a weird two weeks between jobs and have had nothing to do but study LSAT.

Intense prep is when you know deep down that you gave it your all, there wasn't one more thing that you could have done.
