Spinning My Wheels
I know I am getting better with time, but it feels like the progress is entirely too slow. I am currently using Blueprint online to study because it was paid for through the VA and I did not want to waste too much time in between graduation and my Testmasters course that starts July 17th. Is it natural to feel like there is just not enough time between now and Sept. 27? Are others out there in the same boat? I am considering getting some tutoring and was wondering if anyone has had success with it?

Keep working.
What branch?
edit: Keep working because you've got plenty of time. This is too early to stress about test day. Get put your head down and implement a study plan. Be systematic. You're going to be fine.

Thanks for the reassuring words Doc. I was in the Army (11B), just got approved for the Voc Rehab program so I am pretty excited but I do not want to blow such a great opportunity. Logical Reasoning is kicking my butt!

Very nice. Marine infantry here. With the LSAT, you've got a natural advantage; you have stood endless hours of post, you have denied yourself food, water and comfort to accomplish the mission in the Army. Apply those skills here. It's going to be a long few months.
Just about everyone here will recommend utilizing the PowerScore bibles for each section. I will suggest that as well.
Have you taken a full test under timed conditions yet?

Well, I have attempted a full test under timed conditions but I would hardly say I completed it. I am generally not used to totally sucking at something and really lost my patience while taking the exam. I ended up just answering everything as C on the final section and half or so (It was a 144). I have been hitting it pretty hard for about 3-4 hrs a day to get into the swing of things but feel like maybe its time to ramp it up a bit. I am going to take a no BS, do my best, fully timed exam on July 1.

That's fine- most people can't finish in time at the beginning of prep. It took me almost a month to get there on the games section.Grunt2Grad wrote:Well, I have attempted a full test under timed conditions but I would hardly say I completed it. It's good that you're going to take another test. You're going to need a lot of practice tests, which can be purchased from LSAC, but are at least a couple of dollars cheaper on Amazon. I did around 40 before taking the test a few weeks ago. Lots of people here will have doubled that. Even so, you will definitely spin your wheels if you take this thing on with an accuracy-by-volume strategy. Read the posts on this page to get a feel for what other highly successful people have done, and experiment with those methods until you start to feel more comfortable.

If you put the time in, it will get easier quickly.
You should consider LSAT study a no-shit part-time job (or full-time job if you can swing it.)

Hey man I'm just starting out at this as well but I realize this how stressful this is and it can make small progress seem bad because of how daunting a task it is. However one thing I've learned is appreciate the small victories. When you ace that LR section or even just get 2 more questions then last time right make sure you recognize your progress. That doesn't mean be content it just means take pride in your development! P.s. As always thanks for your service.Grunt2Grad wrote:Well, I have attempted a full test under timed conditions but I would hardly say I completed it.
