Outside Reading Material for RC Humanities Passages

Post by h3jk5h » Mon Jun 16, 2014 10:50 pm

I did a couple of questions in the Cambridge drilling packet for RC, and I found out that I have as much trouble comprehending humanities passages as natural science ones.

I think this is, in part, due to unfamiliarity with the subject matter. I'm much more apt at comprehending Social Science and Law passages (I'm a political science and economics major) than humanities and natural science ones. I noticed that almost all of the questions I get wrong on RC are local ones where I have to go back to the passage and look for the details.

When I'm reading social science and law passages, because I'm familiar with the vocabulary with the subject matters, I can vaguely remember the details. But I tend to have no recollection for details for the passages regarding the sciences and the humanities.

I'm reading outside material regarding the natural sciences to get more acquainted with the subject, and I'm wondering where I can find humanity passages (similar to LSAT RC ones) to improve my overall knowledge on that subject (art, music, folklore, paintings, etc..).

Thoughts?

Your best bet is to keep doing RC passages. The best way to acquaint yourself to humanities is by reading humanities--which the RC already provides. Get me?

^ I see.

Does deep review also apply to prepping for the RC section, as it does in the LR section? Right now I'm just doing these passages without thoroughly reviewing the answers after.
