Designing your own logic games ... helpful practice?
Has anyone found designing their own logic games to be helpful?
I know most study programs insist you avoid games/questions not drawn from real LSATs, but if you do it right it seems like this might be a beneficial exercise.

FWIW I used http://www.examkrackers.com/lsat/Default.aspx and was able to score a perfect score on the logic game section. The methods they teach you are very helpful in understanding how to break down different types of games.

There are exactly 300 logic games available between pt 1-71, superprep a, b, and c, and the June 07 free lsat. Not seeing a need to make your own.gatesome wrote:Has anyone found designing their own logic games to be helpful?

Plus the February '97 test, India 2/3/4, and the soon-to-be-released PT 72. Plus several hundred third party games; they may be controversial, but I'd personally rather work through Manhattan LSAT Logic Games Challenge for a few hours than write my own.Clyde Frog wrote:There are exactly 300 logic games available between pt 1-71, superprep a, b, and c, and the June 07 free lsat. Our instructors make up games for our blog sometimes (as a just-for-fun type of practice for blog readers), but I don't see creating your own game being especially helpful for your own preparation. You can gain a great understanding of how games work just from doing the existing games; as others have mentioned, there are tons of games available for practice; and overall it would probably take more time than it's worth to create your own.
