LSAT study plan? Forum

I have been lurking the hell out of this site for a while now, and it is time to get serious. Scored a 153 on diagnostic, wanting a scholly for the goal of Southern big or midlaw. I am set to begin my studies for the June 2015 LSAT, but I could use some assurance that my plan sounds acceptable. First, I have and plan to diligently read through the LSAT Trainer. Afterwards, I believe that the Manhattan series will serve as a useful follow-up, in addition to hardcore drilling via a Cambridge bundle of some sort. For instance, read chapter in MLSAT LR on MBT, drill accordingly via Cambridge bundle. I will also use 7sage videos for games. I will also probably give a cursory glance to the LGB "forgotten few" section after all the fuss about the recent LSAT regarding LG. After I get done drilling, I will move into doing recent PTs, or however the Cambridge bundle I decide on splits them up.

Does this sound like a solid, potentially successful plan if I put in the necessary work?

Looks like a solid plan to me. The general structure I recommend for studying is to start by learning the basics without worrying about speed, then getting into more drilling and, after you've mastered the fundamentals, picking up the pace, and finally focusing mostly on PTs supplemented with drilling to target any "problem areas." Of course, being who I am, I'd also suggest reading some reviews for the Blueprint LG book. It's one of the newer books out there, but it's gotten really great reviews, so you may find it helpful.

The content sounds fine (though I would put more emphasis on PTs), but you're going to study straight for one full year? You're going to completely burn out, and if you should need to retake, you'll have to reuse literally everything.

Five months out is probably as early as I would start seriously prepping -- a year is crazy.

A year is overkill. 4-5 months is ideal. Other than that, your plan seems fine.
