Going from mid/low 160's to upper 160's/ lower 170's

Post by haroldton86 » Tue Jun 03, 2014 9:40 pm

First time poster here. I am seeking any help I can get.
Here's a little bit of my background: I've been studying the LSAT for about three months now with the goal of scoring at least a 168, preferably a 172 (roughly). I've studied Powerscore bible and Manhattan Logical Reasoning book. I also did Kaplan's drilling by type packets. I'm now taking tests in preparation for the real thing in Sept. I've taken 5 tests and done some RC sections in between and here is my basic spread on all sections:

LR: 4-6 wrong
RC: 4-6 wrong
AR: 2-3 wrong

This gets me roughly in the low 160's, sometimes 165 range. This isn't cutting it for me, but I'm not sure exactly where to go from here. I've been reading all the explanations and trying to learn what I'm doing wrong each question and seeing what I can do better for the next time. I end up making different mistakes the next time and still get roughly the same spread. The Logic Games are pretty easy for me to handle, though I seem to make a couple of mistakes down the line for some reason or another. What should I do to get the LR and RC sections up? It just feels inevitable when taking a test that I'm going to get at east a couple wrong.

I would say just keep at it.

You're already in a great position. Now you just need to make some small adjustments. Consider the Trainer and 7sage. If not, just straight repetition. It's the father of learning.

Thanks. I'm going to keep at it. Hopefully something will click.

Work on games. They're the easiest to improve on.

Exclusively use 7sage videos and lots of practice (he has a method for mastering any game), and you'll be good.
