PS Bibles plus Testmasters online course? Forum

Just graduated undergrad with a 3.87 gpa, so now getting a high LSAT score is a must. I planned on taking the LSAT last October, in which I foolishly took a Kaplan-online course. A lot of family things happened during the summer I was studying, and along with my full-time internship, so I wasn't done with the course and therefore wasn't fully prepared for the LSAT. I took it anyway to get a feel of the actual test, and got a 156 (lousy, I know). After that, I was getting timed practice test scores in the 164-170 range, but need to solidify a 170+. I don't like actual classes (as in I like to set my own time schedule), so either another online course or a self-study program. I am planning on taking the test this September, and have the whole summer to study, so my question is this:

Should I just take the Testmasters.net Online Course, or would it be worth it to take that course and also have the PS Bibles to do as well? Would the material be different enough for me to benefit from both, or would the TM course be enough?

Any and all opinions would be greatly appreciated!

I don't think you'll need the PS books, and some of the approaches aren't compatible.

I had a buddy who took the testmasters online course and told me it was a waste of time and money. If your already scoring in the 165-170 these classes seem to only help marginally imo. I'd save money and just drill

I didn't take the TM course, but I do remember being in the 165-170 range and I felt I learned a lot about the test by the time I got in the upper 170s.

I didn't take the actual Testmaster's online course, but I did know a TM instructor at the time, and sort of looked at her books in an informal way and used the homework sections of the material to practice (games mostly). Even from that very loose way of 'learning' Testmasters, I picked up the methodology and diagramming techniques and found it completely invaluable. I went from an initial PT of 164 to a final LSAT score of 173. I don't know if that is a 'big jump' or not, or if some other methodology would have helped more, but since I only 'did' the program tangentially, my guess is a formal taking of the course, either online or in person, would have helped me jump even more.

Before that, I did have some of the PS Bibles, and I didn't find them all that helpful. The methodology and the categorization just didn't seem intuitive to me in a way that I could apply to other questions.
