Rate this LSAT instructor- blueprint Berkeley (Phil Belleau)

Post by mpastore19 » Wed May 21, 2014 6:01 pm

Hi there,

have any of you taken a class with Phil Belleau from Blueprint at Berkeley? I will be in the East Bay and I was thinking about taking a class over there. What was your experience like? Would you recommend the blueprint live course?

Thanks.

You can probably go sit in on a class. IMO that's the best way to shop.

Quality of instructor is going to matter way more than the course company (at least for BP/Manhattan/PS etc; reputable LSAT companies). Sit in on a class. All of the BP instructors that have at least a few courses under their belt are really good, otherwise they wouldn't still be there. That doesn't mean that X instructor's style is going to match your preference though.

Sitting in on a class or two with different companies in you area is the best thing to do. You should be able to now for June classes in preparation for a Summer class.

Agreed. The instructor matters so much more than the company.

Based on my experience, the people at BP are top notch. So I doubt you could go wrong with them. Sitting in on the class is a good idea. Also, I don't know if BP does this, but you may be able to look at the instructor's previous course/tutoring evaluations, which could be helpful.

FWIW, a couple of reviewers sing his praises on yelp:
