Don't know much about this writing sample... do I need to?

Does it matter?

I'll obviously take it serious, but does it matter for anything?

It won't help you no matter how well you do on it, but it could hurt you if you leave it entirely blank. If the test day prompt is the first writing prompt you see then you've studied for it as much as you should've, if not then you studied too much.
