-14 on Logic Games. I want -0

Post by Roger Mexico » Sun Mar 30, 2014 2:19 am

On my one and only LSAT last year, I missed 14 of the analytical reasoning questions. I didn't study for that section much at all.

So obviously I want to improve to, oh, let's say, -0. Is this a realistic goal at all and if so, what is the best way to get there? I assume I'm going to need to get the right materials and study them a lot.

I thought I'd start by getting the Powerscore LG Bible and official PTs. Any other suggestions are welcome. I'm shooting to take the June test or if needed to wait (or take again) in Sept./October.

My diagnostic was -13 on LG. I studied through the entire LG bible. Then, I drilled timed sections from PTs until I was scoring -1/-0 consistently. I was solely focused on LG for 2 1/2 months, and I scored -1 on game day. Get to it! Idk what the rest of your sections look like, but if you're gunning for the T14, you may do well to study for Sept./Oct. If you are set on T14, then you shouldn't take the test until you're averaging 170 on PTs.

I'm pretty sure I was +9 on my first LG section. I usually am now -1/0. So yes, it's definitely doable.

Absolutely. Everyone will suggest a different method (Powerscore worked for me), but the important thing is to keep on practicing games over and over until you can diagram and draw inferences quickly and perfectly.

This. I also think it's important to time yourself when practicing the games.

Hey sorry for the off topicness but how did you find out that you were -14 on the LG? I can't figure out what sections I screwed up on.

Did you take February? That one isn't disclosed. Otherwise, as long as you are within 6 months, you should be able to look at your IR sheet and count your errors.
