Testing Center CLOSED after already signed up

Post by heydude » Fri Mar 28, 2014 1:46 pm

So I just received an e-mail today stating that the testing center I signed up for (June 2014 test date) is now closed for undisclosed reasons. They re-assigned me to the "nearest" available test center which is in the total opposite direction from me and much further than the one I signed up for. There are 3 other testing centers closer, however those are now all full.

The thing that seems very unfair to me is that they closed the test center down AFTER I (and I'm sure many other people) had already signed up. I would have gladly signed up for any one of those closer test centers (2 of which had availability at the time I enrolled).

I called LSAC and all they said is that I need to keep checking to see if a spot somewhere else opens up. Anyway, it doesn't seem like there's too much else I can do at this point, but I was wondering if there was anyone else who had a similar experience and if they were able to get anything from LSAC in terms of a priority transfer to another testing center due to the circumstances.

In case there's anyone out there who was also enrolled for East LA College June 2014, I feel your pain.

A priority transfer?

Please just try to make the one you get and do what they say if you really want to be a couple of miles closer. You can get a hotel right next to test center too.
