Was PT71(Dec 2013) easy?? Forum

I'm still undecided about taking the Feb test this week (Asia).

I got a 167 on pt70 and was on the verge of quiting but then I got a 175 on pt 71.

The RC in pt 71 seemed very easy which made all the difference.

What did everyone else think about pt71?

I took it in Dec and thought LR was relatively difficult. LG came off as difficult on test day, but on reflection that section was more on the average side. As for RC, yes, I thought that was relatively easy but I ended up scoring -5 on it, which was within the norm for me. Taking both Oct and Dec administrations, I scored 168 and 165 in that order.

Every LSAT feels harder than usual on test day regardless of the scale for the test-form.

I took the Dec 2013 LSAT (first attempt). IMO the curve seemed too generous. The test was too easy to be a -14. PT 59 is another test which was IMO too easy to justify its -14 curve.

Now, something like PT 62 - that's a test which DOES justify a -14 curve.

Gosh, now that I think of it, me too.

The raw score for me was one of my worst ever, and I declined overall on the retake, and I don't regret doing it.

I didn't think it was particularly easy, no. I was surprised by the curve though, but not as much as I had been on a few past tests.

Yeah, easy's not the right word. It was definitely an exhausting exam. But other recent tests, imo, have had one *crazyomgshootme* hard section. I didn't experience that in Dec; the difficulty felt fairly evenly distributed across all sections.

That being said, I was also stunned by the generosity of the curve.
