The ol' ethnicity question - confliction

Post by Hoping4Happiness » Tue Oct 29, 2013 4:16 pm

Hi. I am Iranian, should l put Middle Eastern (goes under White/ Caucasian category) or just not answer? I'm guessing it doesn't make much of a difference... would appreciate insight, as l am clueless on the matter.

It's more of what you identify as. There is no right or wrong answer. Full disclosure is better in my opinion. Some schools may want more AAs, Asians, etc. but even they won't know until the pool is in. On the flip side, seeing an application where the ethnicity is left blank may raise an eyebrow or two.

TLDR; Doesn't really matter, IMO err on the side of filling it in.
