Stupid question, but is stapling ok?

No it actually says to explicitly not staple it. Glue or tape and make sure you write the info it says to write on the back of the picture.

Tape it over the corners and on the back.

Glue can mess up. Lots of tape tends not to mess up.

I've used glue sticks twice and haven't a problem.
