I just want a 160
I've been PT'ing in the 140's. I have all 3 Manhattan Books, but honestly, I think they are too advanced for me, as I can't seem to get it even after reading through an explanation of a question multiple times.
Do I stick it out with Manhattan books and keep going? Are there any books that I should start out with and then "graduate" to the Manhattan ones?
I am trying to get a 160, and I think I may have overstepped my capabilities, kind of like trying to learn how to drive on a Ferrari, if that is a good analogy of what I am trying to say here.

assuming this isnt a flame....
Manhattan, as it is clearly stated on the covers, is for the 170+ test taker and should be used as a supplement to previous studying.
Many people here will recommend other books such as the blueprint material or the powerscore books. I think powerscore lays a nice framework for LGs and LR. Powerscore LR definitely needs to be followed up with by Manhattan LR I feel though.
RC...well thats a beast of its own.

don't settle man. no matter what. never settle. i had a equally low diagnostic in the 140s and went 4 months studying 2-3 hours a day without a single increase in my PT scores. 4 months man. i realize i had to make the lsat like my own job and started doing 6-8 hours a day. i have hit the high 160s but still not a single 170. still, the greatest score to me was that first PT where I finally broke that fucking barrier after 4 months. trust me man if you have done college you are more than capable of this shit. look at this stupid test as a fucking payoff that can lead to thousands of dollars in potential scholarship and millions of dollars in potential earnings at a better law school compared to a TTT you would attend with your current score. you can make the rest of your life with this test. good luck.

Reading powerscore's bibles along with drilling cambridge packets wouldn't be a bad idea.
