EDIT: CLOSED
EDIT:
Hi everyone, the error drive is now closed -- for a list of substantive errors to version 1.2 (you can tell by looking at the copyright page, which will say 17 16 15 14 13 2 3 4 5), please look here: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 6&t=216646.
If you have purchased the book on or after 9/16/13, you should have version 1.3 or later, and these errors do not pertain to your edition. Thanks again to all those who helped improve The LSAT Trainer.

Re: Please Help Improve The LSAT Trainer / Errata List
Page 318: "Here we get our first main point--a hypothesis for waht..." It's in the bold part (off to the side) for the third paragraph.
I've actually been keeping track of some of these so when I remember where they are I'll post them :]
EDIT:
Pg 208: in the third paragraph under "Two: Understand the Rules and Notate Them," the second part of the parentheses ("The soup will...") is missing the end quotation.
Pg 356: In the explanation for problem 7, in the first line, the wrong quote direction is used for "the author indicates." (the first quotation)
Pg 379, #6, E: Says "If bill is paid..." It should say something like "If bill (1, 2, 3 etc) is paid." (this mistake is repeated in the answers on page 381)

I'll just make new responses so people don't think I'm scalping there's :]
Pg 475, second paragraph. "Coach Tran's response: Ted is not faster than Fred.'") is missing the opening quote for Coach Ted.
Also on pg 475: '"My mother says I'm handsome, yet girls won't go out with me.' This is missing the ending quote. It's in the fourth paragraph.
Pg 477, gray box. "and Bob says "This CEO..." Either "This" needs to be "this" or it should be "and Bob says, "This CEO..." (basically, missing a comma there)
Pg 478, answer to number 3.7, part 4: The opening quotation for "requires" is going the wrong direction (line 2)

Haha no problem. Maybe it explains why I have so much time focusing on just the structure of RC passages! The LSAT Trainer wrote:wow -- thank you so much scoobers -- i knew there would be some tls'ers like you! maybe you'll make back the entire cost of the book -- I'd love nothing better than sending you a big fat gift card, so please post more! --mk

Re: Please Help Improve The LSAT Trainer / Errata List
Because I have nothing better to do on a Saturday...
Spacing issues:
Pg 175: 11th paragraph, there appears to be an extra space between "MG" and the ?.
Pg 279: explanation for 28.1.5, number 4: "Or perhaps the seals impact..." (should be "seal's")
Pg 279: explanation for 28.1.5: "seal urine is poisonous to cod(sorry...)." Missing a space between "cod" and the parentheses.
Pg 435: explanation for 18. "we want to make sure and read carefully("complete...could")." There is a space missing between "completely" and the parentheses.
Pg 441: in the "note" at the bottom (in italics), it looks like there is an extra space between "from" and "the June '07 exam."
Quotes:
Pg 226: explanation for number 9, "less accurate" is missing the end quote.
Pg 439: in the "conclusion" box, the second example of a question stem is missing the end quote.
Pg 444: explanation for 31.3.4, part 4, the first quote for "never" is in the wrong direction.
Pg 445: explanation for 30.4.13, part 5, the first quote around "a generalization" is going the wrong way.
Pg 447: explanation for 30.2.14, part 5, the first quote for "correct" is going the wrong way.
Grammar issues:
Pg 259: "What exactly is a Sufficient Assumption question?" you say!"
Pg 270: "The negation of (B) would be "Exercising..." There should be a comma after "be" or "Exercising" should be lowercase.

Re: Please Help Improve The LSAT Trainer / Errata List
I'm guessing most of the posters already benefitted plenty from LSAT trainer and from Mike's free advices he provided in his other thread, is it reasonable to take the money even if he offered them? Honestly I would probably do it for free just for a repayment for all the advices he already provided.

Sure it's reasonable, they are contributing something of value that takes time and effort to do. Plus, it was generous of Mike to offer and could be considered an insult to refuse to accept his offer, and the $$ comes in an Amazon gift card, so it's not exactly cash you can use for drinking $$ or lunch.

Hi Fianna -- that's awfully nice of you to say -- thank you so much, and I'm sure you'll be happy to know that one of the post-ers has already tried to decline his/her reward in a pm.Fianna13 wrote:I'm guessing most of the posters already benefitted plenty from LSAT trainer and from Mike's free advices he provided in his other thread, is it reasonable to take the money even if he offered them? But on the flip side, as Jeffort said, this work is very valuable to me -- and it will cost me far less than hiring another proofreader (I'd much rather give you guys the $ anyway) -- So, if you drive around in a Bentley and don't need the amazon gift card, I won't force you to take it, but otherwise, please do take my money --
Here's an interesting question -- if I up the price I pay, will it make people more, or less, willing to take the gift card from me?
Let's find out --
Partly to reward those who have already helped out, and, more importantly, to try and ensure that we find as many errors as possible, I am now offering $3 per error, and this retroactively applies to all those who have already contributed. Thanks again everyone.

pg. 458 Qualifier Math Section: the "Some bears dream and some bears swim..." and "Some bears dream and most bears swim..." columns need to be flipped.

166. Fourth set, sixth question, answer should be “2” not “1 or 2.”
166. Sixth set, fourth question, answer should be “2,3 or 4” not “2 or 3.”
166. Sixth set, ninth question, answer should be "3 or 4" not "3."
Someone check me on this, but I'm pretty confident on this stuff
141. Number 8, last rule. Should say "tan team" not "teal team."
136. In the example, it says "Kendra comes home from work to find six messages left on her answering answering" Should say "answering machine" I'm assuming...

EDIT - you are right about everything except the two comments about the sixth set on pg 166 -- remember the max limits.
