Broken 160 twice so awesome
After some pains I have finally broken 160, not once but twice. Funny thing is that my reading comp has become my strongest section. I'm at -3 or -4 on every test for 6 tests now. Who would've thunk it.
Just wanted to post this.

Thanks for the support guys. With a month and a half still available I'm going to do just that. I'm thinking I'll celebrate cracking 170 with drunken streaking.

Have you drilled Cambridge? IMO getting LG perfect gets you in the 160s. Getting LR perfect gets you in the 170s. Then it is RC and luck that differentiates the top score distributions in the 170s.

Should I get Cambridge for LR? I don't really want to spend any more money than I have to but I am tempted.paglababa wrote:Have you drilled Cambridge? IMO getting LG perfect gets you in the 160s. I would suggest it highly. I honestly do not know what I would have done without my LR bundles0913djp wrote:Should I get Cambridge for LR? I think I may just pay for a Flaw packet on the website. I am really only having trouble with flaws that appear toward the end of given LR sections and then the other question types, it's just a matter of making sure when it comes to two attractive choices to definitely eliminate the one that isn't absolute or the one that isn't that absolute.
I am confident I'll get better. It's the last obstacle I have in conquering this test.

Cambridge? Anything in particular I should look for? I read something about LR bundles. I'll be googling in a second.
I just took two more pts today and sadly the last three have been just under 160. 156 157 and 157. Disheartening to say the least, looking back at those 161 and 162 days that were so fleeting. Anyway, the big issue I'm having is LR. It was once my best section and now it's so volatile and I'm so inconsistent that I'm scared that test days I'll be a toss up between having a good LR day and a bad one.
What sucks most is that I know how to look at the questions after I finish a test and look to see what went wrong, with the calm I see that C was right and that B was totally stupid and wrong. I see that one word that changes everything. I need to get perfect or close to it on LR and if I do I see a raw score of at least 83 in my future. I say this because while I've had the two 160+ days I never got them with perfect games. In fact Games have never been perfect for me. Today's 157 was the second closest to perfect I've come with18 correct out of 24. Before that it was 21. Take into consideration that all of my recent PTs were early 90s and the games can be down right retarded and weird. Today I did pt 26 from 98 and the games were much more what I'm used to. Normally I'm in the mid to high teens with the early games with my new pacing method I feel I can really do damage when I get to the post 2000s.
I have 21 more tests to go through so I think I might take a break, let me brain rest, then do some games from my compilation of 75 games see if I get my speed and accuracy up. My reading took a dip these last three tests one big dip and two small ones so that is also contributing.
Logical reasoning are make or break right now.
