Is there a list of "mismatch" games online or in a book somewhere? As in those games that have 7 elements and 5 spots / 5 elements and 7 spots / etc.

I believe you are referring to a game Powerscore refers to as "Unbalanced: Overloaded Grouping games" and lsatblog (link below) refers to as Grouping: In-and-Out (some variables are chosen, others are not). As a reference, check out June 1994 12-19, June 1995 20-24, and June 2009 12-17.
