Third time worth it?

Post by hurriya1992 » Tue Jul 02, 2013 8:06 am

Hey all. First post but have been lurking for a while. Huge props to the June Waiters thread for making those three weeks bearable.

Just got a relatively disappointing 169 yesterday. This comes after canceling my score in February after some timing issues. Taking a gap year or two so won't be applying this upcoming cycle, but wondering if an October retake is worth it. My PT range in the last few months has been 171-178 with an average of probably 173. I am pretty confident I can up my score by at least 1-3 points or at the very least hold steady but I dread the stigma of a third take. Would love some advice, especially from those with 3-take knowledge or experience.

Have a 3.9 GPA and some solid softs (one of Rhodes/Marshall/Truman among them) and realistically aiming for BPVM with hopefully a little $$$ (can't really pay sticker anywhere).

Thanks so much!
