I'm in NYC and am considering an October 2013 retake.

MDLG, why are you retaking? Didn't you get a 175? I don't know your GPA, but from what I've seen, anything higher than a 175 doesn't really improve admissions chances if your GPA is over a 3.7.

Any improvement on your LSAT score correlates directly to an improvement in admissions chances up to 180. The difference, for example, between 175 and 176+ could be the difference between being accepted or waitlisted at HYS.

And yea, I'm taking it in October and am in NYC.

Would love to form a NYC study group. My average score over the seven PTs I have taken is a 169.5, but I have scored in a range from 165 to 174. I am aiming for a 175+ average by October. I think a study group would be great, even if only for motivational reasons.

Feel free to use our MeetUp group to arrange these things - http://www.meetup.com/New-York-LSAT-Help/

If I'm available, I can swing by and offer advice, talk about questions/strategies, etc...

Octo retake; NYC. I just need a 170-2 for the test. That would be fine with my GPA.

My GPA is closer to a 3.5 than a 3.7. My PT average was a ~178, and that was having neglected my weakest section (which is where I ended up losing all of my points but one). I feel I can do better.

Absolutely down. I'll be in Chicago for the remainder of summer, getting back to Manhattan last week of August. Hit 167 in June; PT average was ~172 going in. Glad to have some motivation going into round two. Let's do it.

I am definitely in. Currently testing at an average of 170, though my last score was 173.
