So I bought the Official LSAT PTs from Amazon, some individually and some in the Next 10 bundle, but none of these have the explanations of the answers. It has the answer key, but I thought it would include explanations like the Powerscore bibles do in the books. Where can I find the explanations?

Damn, what a pain having to find each question. Why couldn't they just provide the explanations in the books I purchased? They're really trying to milk people's money. Geesh

Eh, they're all provided by totally different places.

Both 7sage and ManhattanLSAT have absolutely no obligation to put analysis of answers up anywhere. It sort of detracts from their money source, I would imagine.

And the LSAC books specifically state that they're the tests only.

Darmody, LSAC isn't making money out of NOT selling you explanations. They simply don't provide them, with the exception of the LSAC superprep, which explains three tests.

I think I understand why they don't. I challenged them on one question, and they sent me a three page explanation. If they provide OFFICIAL explanations, they have to be incredibly thorough, in a way that private instructors don't have to be.

Erick listed the main free sources. I would add LSAT Blog's videos as well. 7Sage and Manhattan have made a calculated decision that providing some stuff for free will ultimately get them money. I think it's a smart move. Witness how much buzz they get on these boards.

There are a few sources of explanations where you can get everything in one place. LSAT Blog and Cambridge LSAT sell explanations for each test. Some of those explanations were written by me, but most by other authors.

I've also written books of explanations for various individual tests, and for LSATs 29-38. I won't link to them, but you can find them on amazon. The series title is in my board name. By the end of the summer I should have books for 29-38 and 62-69.

LSAC has been kind enough to release over 70 official LSATs for you to review. It takes a lot of time and money for them to simply keep generating new questions. Those studying for the GMAT don't have nearly as many official questions to study.

If LSAC released explanations for all the questions they publish, they'd probably publish significantly fewer questions.

Myself and others have stepped up to fill the vacuum by providing detailed explanations (in both video and written form) for the vast majority of released LSAT exams. And many of them are low-cost or even free.

I think those studying for the LSAT are lucky compared to those studying for the GMAT and other standardized tests, and a lot luckier than those studying for the LSAT even just 5 years ago. There were significantly fewer LSAT explanations available then.

A lot of people love to hate on LSAC, but I think they deserve a great deal of respect, considering the incredible job they do. It's not easy to keep producing so many new high-quality test forms (individual PrepTests) year after year. Most questions you'll want explanations to are there, and you can ask follow-up questions. Price is pretty decent.
