Take June exam for EXP or change to October?

Post by champv17 » Thu May 23, 2013 1:02 pm

Hi, I have been prepping and following the advice on this thread and now my PT's are around 165. I have already registered for the June Exam and I am way below my goal of 174.
I have never taken the LSAT before, and my goal is to get into a T-5 school. GPA is 3.95 and have good softs.

I am afraid that having a 165 in June and a 174 in October would hurt my chances. On the other side, I wonder if taking it only once in October might put too much pressure for me to perform based on one test.

Should I take the exam to get the feel of test day and the experience? Or would a 165 on the exam be detrimental to my goal and I should just push it back to October?

If you really don't feel prepared a few days before the June test, just do October with December as a retake option.

Unless you magically improve by 5 points in the next couple of weeks, wait until October. Take a week off and let your mind relax; it works wonders.

165 would be too detrimental for HYS and maybe CC to justify taking June. Even if you're October score is short of your goal, you can still send your application in and sign up for a retake.

Thank you. I have just pushed back into the October exam and will make my goal 180 for that exam.
