Lumosity

Post by tuffyjohnson » Thu May 23, 2013 11:17 am

Is this web site worth while? It claims that it can increase memory function and brain focus. Curious if anyone has looked at this or similar systems for increasing brain function, memory, IQ, etc?

NO.

Manhattan LSAT bundles and Blueprint is all you need.

Don't waste your time in non-LSAT stuff.

I have a friend that does this. I am very dubious of its value.

Instead of lumosity I should shut down my twitter/facebook/ cable tv accounts. Maybe that would increase focus.

+1

Also, see this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lumosity#Science

Lumosity's collaboration with researchers may influence the researchers to find positive results more often than they otherwise would.

However, the criticism section of the Wikipedia article is dated, so I would disregard it as it is currently written. The article it references is from 2009, and the studies in the science section of the Wikipedia article are more recent than that.
