180 watch a scam?
Hi, I just purchased 180 watch on 4/28 from 180watch.com
But is the website legit?
I have done a good amount of research, and heard good reviews about the website, but I am getting kind of worried.
Right after I put in my credit card info it said that a confirmation email will be sent, but I never gave the website my email.
It also never informed me of the shipment details -- the date of arrival etc.
I sent an email to the company right after my purchase, but still have not heard a reply.
I hope that this website is legit.
Did anyone buy the watch from the website?
When did you receive the package?
YES, I know that I can reset my watch, but still thought that the 180 watch might me a worthwhile investment. Just a personal preference.

not sure if flame, but confirmation pages are just generic messages that show when you hit submit. this is because most people put in an email, and that email address they asked for is where they would have sent your invoice and shipping details. if your credit card is worth a shit, you can dispute the charge.bulawschool wrote:Right after I put in my credit card info it said that a confirmation email will be sent, but I never gave the website my email.

oh, and good luck on your 180.

This 180 watch has been previously discussed on TLS and plenty of people had good things to say. I noticed they redesigned their website after a brief hiatus of being offline, so it's likely that they haven't gotten around to sorting out all the technical details like email confirmation.

i don't think this is a technical issuebulawschool wrote: Right after I put in my credit card info it said that a confirmation email will be sent, but I never gave the website my email.

If you never provided an email address, that would explain why you did not receive a confirmation email or any other email regarding the status of your order.

Yes, it's a scam. Watches are TTT. Won't make a difference. Just use any ordinary wristwatch. You should be focusing on choosing the right type of pencil:

Re: 180 watch a scam?
hey now, I have a 180 watch and when I used to be crunched for time, it was really helpful to know how much time down to the seconds I had. it's not a scam and its a nice watch for prepping. now, however, when I have 6-8 minutes left in a section to review, it's less useful.

It makes sense. Looks to be easier than rotating your bezel after the end of each section. Probably better off finding one on eBay though

People, Just roll any watch back to noon between sections, and get used to looking towards 12:35 as the end of the section.

Re: 180 watch a scam?
That watch is good if you care about the second hand and want a super quiet watch. On test day there will likely be enough ambient noise that your ticks don't matter, but stressing about the second hand is something that is worth paying for.
I used the watch throughout my prep and for two LSATs and I think it was worth every penny. It also has high resale value (they offered to buy mine back from me for $25 but I couldn't part with it).
They also updated the face template which I like a lot (no more green/red).

If it were really worth it, shouldn't it have been 1 LSAT? (just kidding, of course. I'm not even sure why I am posting in this thread. Oh yea, procrastination).cahwc12 wrote:That watch is good if you care about the second hand and want a super quiet watch. It's an important test and whatever works is worth $45. I read a research article about how people who drink vegetable juice before standardized tests score higher. That is where I draw the line, though.

Also, realize they make these using the absolute cheapest watches possible... I'd rather trust a good accurate watch, than bank on the reliability of this thing because it has colors at 8 min intervals...
