Guess your Dec. 2012 LSAT Score
Bored at work, saw one of these last time, thought I'd give it a go.
LG: -0
LR1: -3
RC: -5
LR2: -1
Best Case: 175
Realistic: 171
Worst Case: 167
And I was doing so good at not stressing over my score too...

LG: -7
Best Case: 163
Realistic: 159
Worst Case: 155
Had an experimental LR and I'm still not sure which section was the real LR1. Basing my prediction on the harder of the two sections.

LG: -6 (FML!!!!)
RC: -10
LR1: -8
LR2: -7
Best Case: -50 curve obviously so 180! (FML)
Realistic: FML
Worst Case: Retake. (also FML)
Really got off-balanced hard on LG #3 (was testing -1/-0 on LG) and retardedly let it affect me on the rest of the test.

I literally have no idea what to tell people when they ask how I thought I did. So much of it depends on curve, not botching a reading comp, how many LR's that you 75% certain on fall your way, etc.

LG: -3
LR: -5
RC: -5
+/-5 at this point I have no feel for how I did.

That's true, my guesses are just plain old guesses, realistically it could be anything. When people ask I usually tell them I have no idea but I felt ok taking it.bgood2texas wrote:I literally have no idea what to tell people when they ask how I thought I did. Re: Guess your Dec. 2012 LSAT Score
LG: Best case -2, worst case -5
LR: Best case -0, worst case -3
RC: Best case -2, worst case -7
Overall best case: 176
Realistic: 170
Overall worst case: 165
Hypothetically, if you take my best case raw score with the most forgiving conceivable curve, it's a possible 179 (there was one test where you could miss 3 and get a 180).
My worst case raw score combined with the harshest conceivable curve would yield 163. Ouchie!
How incredible that I can't completely rule out a 179, and I can't completely rule out a 163.

Re: Guess your Dec. 2012 LSAT Score
I've been running these kinds of scenarios through my head for a while now. I concluded (after playing around with every possible combination following test-day) that my raw score will probably fall anywhere from 76 (-25) on the low end and 82 (-19) on the high end.
What those convert to depends on the nature of the scale. If the scale is slightly friendlier than October's (I expect it to be given recent trends and the 101 questions), then my score could be 161/162 on the low end and 165/166 on the high end.
I'd be happy with anything in the 162-164 range. I suspect a score in that vicinity is most probable, but I'm mentally prepared for worse (or better).

Right after da test. Now
LG. 0 --> -2
LR. -3 --> -4
LR. -3 --> -5
RC -4 --> -8
Talk about loss of self-confidance..
Best scenario - 169 given a miracle curve +13
Worst scenario - 163 which leaves me with no point in takin & waiting for Dec.
My fingers are crossed..HARD

It's tough for me to guess because I've got such low hopes for the curve this go around. I can pretty much rule out doing my absolute best (or absolute worst) on all three sections so I'm thinking something in the 172-167 range. I could always throw down that -17 though. Best to assume the worst.

I felt like the voicemail game wasn't as hard as everyone else seems to think, I just got murdered by the last one. Such simple rules, but it took me like 12 minutes and I didn't even finish three questions. The reading comp wasn't bad, way better than Oct. The LR was same as ever. I'm expecting an average curve; I thought it was a comparatively easy test, but hopefully it's more generous.

Re: Guess your Dec. 2012 LSAT Score
For some reason I can't even remember the questions on the last game. I remember the 3rd game being easier than what people are suggesting... in fact I remember thinking it was a little too easy... which made me very uneasy about the prospect that I might have misread it.BluePurgatory wrote:LR Best -3 Worst -6

I'm hoping and praying for a 170+, but realistically... probably more like a 168 or 169. Should the worst case happen on all counts, I'm hoping that a -18 doesn't drop me below 165.

I am hoping for 170.
Does any one know if scores typically get released before Christmas or after? I know it says 3 weeks or 1/4/13. Just curious how it has been in the past around the holidays.

When I am in a good mood I think I got 168-170
When I am in a bad mood I think I got 135-140
Realistically I think I got 152-155, disappointing.
