To cancel or not cancel.

Post by Kabukisan » Thu Dec 06, 2012 10:54 pm

Hey fellow test takers,

I need some opinions regarding Lsat cancellation. When is it appropriate? I guessed between 10-14 questions, especially on the last reading comp and #3 logic game. I do not remember how I did on Logical reasoning at all, but I usually get between 6-7 wrong. I am torn on what to do. I really am shooting for high 150s. Let me know what I should do. I studied a lot, I am upset and stressed out!

Best of luck to you all and Happy Holidays.

If you are aiming that low, don't cancel. Although some people on these boards won't admit it, there's some value in not canceling your score (but only for those who know full well that they haven't poured their heart and soul into prepping). One, you can surprise yourself. Or two, it can give you the ass kicking to the face that can get you to overhaul your studying.

Thanks. I am just really nervous. I studied a lot, and felt ready, but I always get really nervous on these standardized tests! I cant accurately reflect or evaluate my performance on test day! Everything is a blur to me! I especially feel bad after the third logic game, and LG is usually my strongest section. Does a low score look worse than a cancellation. This will be my second time canceling.

How much prep have you done?

If you only guessed on 10-14 questions, you're fine. YOu can miss almost 30 and still get your target score.

I studied a lot. Several hours a week, like 14-20. I just fumble when it comes to the real thing. My emotions are also a bad indicator of how well things actually went. haha.
