No one knows, but probably not. That doesn't mean scores are coming on Monday, though. I wouldn't be shocked if LSAC waited until Tuesday, just to fully screw anyone who wants to retake in December.

If I was a betting man, I would gamble on Monday. Then again, it's LSAC....so who the fuck knows.

Re: Will the hurricane delay LSAT scores?
This. I think LSAC wants to force as many people to register for the Dec. administration as possible. That way, even if some people later apply for partial refunds because they get their scores back and realize they don't have to retake, LSAC still gets to keep some of that money. This is their way of making up for the decline in test takers.nick_scheu wrote:No one knows, but probably not. That doesn't mean scores are coming on Monday, though. I haven't registered for the Dec test yet. Should I just in case? I don't know if I'll need to retake... but I was thinking that it wouldn't be a problem because you know the result would come in on time.

From LSAC twitter: "if you took the test in Oct. and you wait til you get your score later this week to register for Dec., the late fee will be waived."cookiejar1 wrote:I haven't registered for the Dec test yet. ... in all fairness, i acknowledge it was clearly not intentional in any way. that said - i find it hard to imagine they did not have these scores ready last week, when they (in my humble opinion) ought to have foreseen this potential delay and released the scores on Friday. but hey, it's only our lsat scores we're talking about here ... not like it's important or anything .

Compared to hurricane prep, it really isn't important. ... dude, i don't know about you but my lsat prep was considerably more rigorous than boarding up a few windows and buying some extra batteries. and i'm in the eye of this storm. obviously, i hope everyone remains safe in the next 24 hours, including our friends @ lsac. i just wish they released the damned scores on Friday, that is all.WhiteyCakes wrote:Compared to hurricane prep, it really isn't important. Re: Will the hurricane delay LSAT scores?
So in conclusion: "Damn you LSAC for not adhereing to my likely simplistic view of how scores are collected and reported. Just give me my score at my convenience". Sounds about right.jgotz1118009 wrote:... dude, i don't know about you but my lsat prep was considerably more rigorous than boarding up a few windows and buying some extra batteries. and i'm in the eye of this storm. obviously, i hope everyone remains safe in the next 24 hours, including our friends @ lsac. i just wish they released the damned scores on Friday, that is all.WhiteyCakes wrote:Compared to hurricane prep, it really isn't important. I'm literally sitting here listening to winds howl and rains pour hoping that somewhere in the aftermath of this storm lies a great LSAT score...

Re: Will the hurricane delay LSAT scores?
excuse me, but you are the one who is clearly ignorant of modern score release history. and per your unsupported assumptions regarding my 'simplistic views' on how the exam is graded, equated, etc. all i have to say is, blow me you pretentious douche bag. as anyone who is familiar with the lsat knows, they typically have these scores out well before the official release date and to have expected what can only be described as an historically consistent release date is in no way 'simplistic.'WhiteyCakes wrote:So in conclusion: "Damn you LSAC for not adhereing to my likely simplistic view of how scores are collected and reported. Re: Will the hurricane delay LSAT scores?
So before, scores were to be posted by Wednesday, Oct. 31st, now they are delayed and are to be posted by Thurs. Nov. 1st. Is there any hope that scores will be released tomorrow? Since they would have (most likely) been released today if everything had been functioning correctly. Is anyone/everyone understanding my logic here? What do we think? A possibility, or is Thursday looking like the end-all, be-all D-Day?

Re: Will the hurricane delay LSAT scores?
besides the prep for the storm, i think there are other reasons lsac may have delayed scores:excuse me, but you are the one who is clearly ignorant of modern score release history. and per your unsupported assumptions regarding my 'simplistic views' on how the exam is graded, equated, etc. all i have to say is, blow me you pretentious douche bag. as anyone who is familiar with the lsat knows, they typically have these scores out well before the official release date and to have expected what can only be described as an historically consistent release date is in no way 'simplistic.'
1. if they released the scores on the same schedule as usual, the people who no longer had any power wouldn't be able to check their scores, and of that group, those who wanted to retake the test would be unfairly hit with the late registration fees. in turn, those people would be calling lsac trying to get the fee waved, which would mean a huge time investment for lsac
2. lsac may have closed their office during the beginning of this week, and so by not releasing scores on friday they avoided the huge buildup of score-related questions that some people are sure to call in and ask about...

I really doubt the storm will delay the release.
